Citation Examples by Format

Find a Citation In...

Enter your search terms into the Search Everything box on the Library Homepage and click Search.

Identify a search result of interest.

Click the Citation icon in the top right of the search result. It looks like a single quotation mark.

The citation will appear. Select the citation style you need, APA, MLA, etc. and then click the Copy Citation to Clipboard link to copy the citation. Paste the citation into your reference list.

You will also see the Citation icon/button if you are in the full record view for the item. Follow the same steps as above to reveal the citation.

When viewing an item, click on the Quotation Mark in the top right hand corner of the page to open up the Cite screen.

Use the drop-down menu to select your citation style. In this example we are using APA 7th Edition. Copy and paste the citation into your reference list.

When you view the Detailed Record for an item, you will see a list of Tools on the right hand side of the page. Click on the Cite icon.

Use the menu to select your citation style. In this example we are using APA 6th Edition. Copy and paste the citation into your reference list.

When you view the Detailed Record for an item, you will see a list of Tools at the top right hand side of the page. Click the Cite icon.

A "Citation Tools" window will appear with the citation. Select the citation style from the top menu and then click Select. From there, you may copy and paste the citation.
