What is LTI?
LTI stands for 'Learning Tools Interoperability' and allows for the seamless integration of Library resources into MyCanvas courses and assignments.
The LTI External Tool option makes it easy to search, select and add content directly from within the LMS. The advantage of this method is that users will be able to read/view external resources without leaving MyCanvas, and they will not be prompted to authenticate.
The following Library collections are currently available:
- Research Guides: embed boxes, pages, guides and databases
- Films on Demand: embed or link to online videos
- ProQuest: embed or link to articles and journals
- Academic Video Online (AVON): embed or link to online videos
If you are interested in learning more about LTI or need assistance with using the tool, contact the Faculty Liaison Librarian for your subject area.
