How to Search Google Scholar


Google Scholar is a freely accessible web search engine that indexes the full text of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. It includes peer-reviewed online academic journals and books, conference papers, theses and dissertations, preprints, abstracts, technical reports, and other scholarly literature, including court opinions and patents.

When you search Google Scholar from the Library's A-Z Database list, Find it @ Mohawk links will appear in your search results that lead to full text articles in our collection.

Search Google Scholar

  1. From the A - Z Database list, find the entry for Google Scholar and click on the title. where to find the google scholar link in the a to z list

  2. Type the title of the article into the search box and perform a search. type the title of the article into the search box

  3. If the article you are looking for is available in our collections, you will see the Find it @ Mohawk link. Click on the link to get to the article. example of the get it at mohawk link

  4. If the article is not in a collection that the Library subscribes to, you may need to click one more link to arrive at the full text of the article. example of an additional link to get to the article
