How to Find Journals

Do you have a reading list with references to journals for your course? Here is how to find those journals in electronic format using Page 1+.

No login is required to access Journals on campus. If you are off-campus, you will need to log in with your 9-digit student or employee ID and password. Example: 000101060@mohawkcollege.ca. Full details can be found on the Off-Campus Access page.

Find a Journal

  1. Enter your search words into the search box on the Library homepage.
  2. From the search results page, within the Refine your results menu on the left-hand side, under Resource Type, check the Journals box.From the Refine your search menu, under Resource Type, check the box for "Journals".

  3. Your result list will re-appear with only journals. Look for the Available Online link under a result of interest.Look for the Available Online link under a result of interest.

  4. From the full record view, click one of the links located under View Online - Full Text availability. From the full record view, click one of the links located under "View Online - Full Text availability".

You can also search for Journals directly.

  1. Click on the Journal Search button located at the top of the page. Enter your search terms in the search box and click the magnifying glass.Screenshot of the top navigation bar located on the search results screen. The Journal Search link is located in the top menu bar.

  2. Select a title from the list or review the categories on the left side and choose a category to browse journals by subject.Click a category or available online

  3. Click on the title of the journal. In the full record look for View online Full text availability and click one of the links below to access the journal. View Online and Full text availability show that there is full-text for the item.
