MRI Program of Study

Course Title  Advanced Relational Imaging

Course Number: MRSC10110

Course Description:
Relate anatomical knowledge and spatial relationships in MRI and other clinical imaging modalities. Correlate relevant imaging to the anatomical region through through review of axial, coronal, sagittal and 3D/4D images.

Course Title  Magnetic Resonance Imaging - Pathology

Course Number: MRSC10112

Course Description:
Explore systemic pathologies of all the major systems. The relationship between the pathology and subsequent image appearance will be examined with an emphasis on magnetic resonance images. Discuss the impact of contrast enhancement in relation to each systemic pathology. Patient clinical presentation, disease manifestations and required procedural adaptations will be examined.

Course Title  Procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Course Number: MRSC10116

Course Description:
This course will examine optimizing techniques, advanced procedures for the thorax, arthrography, magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), magnetic resonance angiography, echo planar imaging and diffuse tensor imaging, as well as interventional and fMRI opportunities. This course will explore a case management approach for accommodated populations, including pediatrics, elderly, pregnant and sedated patients and consider inter-professional collaboration opportunities as they apply to the range of cases.

Course Title  Magnetic Resonance Imaging - Research and Applications

Course Number: MRSC10115

Course Description:
Concepts in research design and methodologies will be introduced. Recent trends in imaging research as they relate to industry practices will be explored. Theory and clinical practice in Diagnostic Imaging will be applied to clinical research standards
