Finding Full Text Articles

Need to find a full text article from a specific journal or find a full text article on a specific topic? Databases available through the Library provide full text access to thousands of journals and articles.

No login is required to access our databases on campus. If you are off-campus, you will need to log in with your 9-digit student or employee ID and password. Example: 000101060@mohawkcollege.ca. Full details can be found on the Off-Campus Access page.

Full Text Options

  1. Enter your search terms into the Search Everything box on the Library Homepage and click Search.Search Everything Search box on library homepage

  2. In the Refine your results menu on the left-hand side, under Availability, click Available online. The Available Online limiter is located in the Refine your Results menu under Availability.

  3. Under Resource Type, select Articles.From under the Refine your results menu, select Articles from under Resource Type.

  4. Click the Available Online link or the Get PDF link. You can also click the title to see more information about the article. The Available Online link will appear under each item in your result list.

When performing a search in an EBSCOhost Database, enter your search terms, check off the Online full text option and click on the Search button. This will ensure that all items in the results list will be online full text articles. If you don't know how to search for articles, review the How to Find Articles guide. example of where to find and select the online full text option

  2. To read the article, click on the Access options button and choose the Online full text option or PDF. example of the access options area for a full text article
  1. After performing a search in a ProQuest Database, select the Full Text limiter from the left hand side of the page. This will ensure that all items in the results list will be full text.
