How to Find eBooks

eBooks can be found by searching Page 1+ or by searching an eBook database.

No login is required to access eBooks on campus. If you are off-campus, you will need to log in with your 9-digit student or employee ID and password. Example: 000101060@mohawkcollege.ca. Full details can be found on the Off-Campus Access page.

Finding eBooks

  1. Enter your search terms into the search box on the Library homepage.Page 1+ search box on library homepage

  2. From the Refine your Results menu on the left-hand side of the screen, under Availability choose Available Online. Under Resource Type choose Books.Refine your results by selecting resource type Books and Availability - Available online, from the Refine Your Results side menu.

  3. Select an item of interest and click on the eBook title link or the Available Online link. When you see a result you like, click the Available Online link under the title of the item.

  4. The full record for the item will appear. Under View Online, click the link located under Full Text Availability.

  2. This is an example of a search in the EBSCOhost eBooks Database. Enter some search terms or a title into the search box and click the Search button.example of the ebsco ebooks search page

  3. To view the eBook and read it online, click the Access nowbutton.example of how to access and read an ebook in ebsco

  4. To download the eBook, click on the Blue Download icon. To access details of the eBook, table of contents/chapters or to search within the eBook, use the menu in the top right hand corner of the page.  example of how to download ebooks, view chapters and pages
