Library Graphic Design Contest
The Library is looking for original, creative student graphic design work to showcase the talent of our students on our website!
The winning image will be added to our homepage behind the search box and may be used in other Library communications.
Contest runs from October 7 – November 15, 2024. The following prizes are available to be won:
- 1st Place: $50 on your OneCard
- Up to 4 runners-up: Library Swag Prize Pack
Contest Details
Enter as many images as you wish on any theme
- Only digital entries are accepted
- Image dimensions: 1200 x 400 pixels, at least 300 dpi
- Landscape orientation
- Image Formats: JPG or PNG
- If the includes images of people and the people are recognizable, a model release must be included with your submission for your submission to be accepted.
Note: The winning image(s) will be placed on the Library homepage behind the the Search Everything box as shown below. The area that will be covered by the search box should be considered when creating your image. Winning images may also be placed on other Mohawk College Library web/print promotions and may be edited to fit presentations.
To submit your entry:
- Go to the "Submit your entry!" box on this page and click the link for the online form
- Upload your image using the upload function in the entry form
- Complete an entry form for each image you wish to enter
- Contest runs from October 7 – November 15, 2024
- Any full or part-time student studying at Mohawk College during the fall 2024 semester may enter.
- No limit to the number of entries! Graphics may be on any theme
- Only digital entries, 1200 x 400 px in JPG or PNG format are accepted
- Note that by submitting your graphic(s) to the contest, you give Mohawk College Library a world-wide, royalty-free, irrevocable and non-exclusive right and license to use, copy, adapt, edit, transmit, communicate, publicly display, distribute and create derivative works from any such submitted graphic to promote Mohawk College. By submitting work(s) to the contest, you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant the license set out above and that you are the creator of the graphic and that the graphic has not been generated using Artificial Intelligence. Any graphics used by the Mohawk College Library will be credited to the creator.
- Only the winner and runners-up will be contacted with results of the contest. Results will be announced in Library News and social media.
- Do not include in your graphic intellectual property (photos, logos, etc.) of which you do not own the copyright. Mohawk College Library will not be held liable for any intellectual property used illegally within submissions.
- Images created with Generative AI will not be accepted.

- Bragging rights:Graphics of the winner and runners-up will be showcased on the library’s homepage and possibly other Mohawk College web and print communications with credit to the creators. Add it to your resume! Tell your friends and family!
