How to Find Books


There are two ways to search for books in the Library. You can use the Search box on the Library homepage or you go directly to the catalogue and search from there. 

Search from the Homepage

  1. Go to the Library Homepage and select the Books & Media radio button in the Search all library collections box. searching the library catalogue from the homepage
  2. Enter the title of the book or some search terms into the search box and click the Search button.
  3. You will be taken to a list of results in the Library Catalogue. You will need to use the search limiters in order to find the exact book you are looking for. Search the Catalogue

  1. Go to the Library Catalogue and enter the title of the book or some search terms into the search box.
  2. Select Title and Books and eBooks from the dropdown menu and click the Search button. example of a book search in the library catalogue
  3. If the book is in the collection, you will be taken to an information page called the Item Record. The Item Record shows where the book is located as well as extra details that you can use to create a citation. viewing a book record from the catalogue
