Our Virtual Drop-in Service provides an opportunity for a one-on-one discussion with a Library staff member via Zoom. Ask us anything about Library research or our Technical services. We are here to help!

Click on the Virtual Drop-in image during service hours to connect with Library staff. You will be greeted by one of our facilitators who will secure your spot to meet in a one-on-one Zoom session with the next available technician.

When To Use

The Virtual Drop-in service is a good option for live demonstrations or for help understanding how to navigate online resources and software. Topics that we might be able to help you with in Zoom are listed below:

Research 

  • using library resources (finding books, articles, videos and more)
  • understanding APA
  • searching databases
  • finding ebooks

Technology

  • navigating MyCanvas, the learning management system (LMS) at Mohawk
  • installing recommended college software (Office, VPN, Respondus and more)
  • accessing your Office 365 account
  • recommended mobile apps for remote learning
