There are two reasons you want to research companies that you are going to apply to. First, the more you know about a company, the easier it is for you to SELL yourself in a cover letter, resume or interview based on your fit for the job and the company culture. Second, you want to make sure you feel like you would be happy in that company. How they present themselves and the culture the company has created for its staff are important to consider when searching for a job that will keep you happy.
