What is Civil 3D?

Civil 3D Logo Civil 3D is an Autodesk product that was originally based on AutoCAD. It has been separated into its own program; it is used for civil infrastructure design as well as documentation for transportation, land development, and water and wastewater projects.

Civil 3D 2021 System Requirements

Memory 16 GB RAM
Video Adapter DirectX® 11 capable graphics card with over 1GB of graphics memory
Disk Space 22 GB free disk space
Connectivity Internet connection for license registration and prerequisite component download

How to Install Civil 3D

Make a note of the Serial number and the Product key. You will need these the first time you launch Civil 3D.

After the download completes, run it. You will receive a Windows UAC prompt. Click "Yes":

When it is finished installing, you will see the following screen. If you see this, you have completed your installation successfully! You can click "Launch Now" to start Civil 3D 2021.
