Desktop computers, Laptops and Chromebooks are available for student use at all campus locations. The login is your 9-digit MohawkID and password. Library computer policies are as follows:

  • Computers are for academic use only
  • During peak times, if you are using a computer for non-academic purposes, you may be asked to log off for students in need of a computer
  • You cannot have someone save a computer for you
  • If you leave a computer unattended for 20 minutes, staff may log you out to allow other students to use it

 Desktop PCs & Mac's

All Libraries and Collaboratories have a limited number of desktop computers available for academic use. The H Wing Collaboratory has 4 Express Stations for quick editing and printing. If you need to use a Mac, you can visit room i106 at the Fennell campus which has 50 Mac desktops. Or you can visit the IT Help Desk located in room C120 which has 20 MacBooks available for borrowing.

 Laptops & Chromebooks

Laptops & Chromebooks are available for loan at all Library TECH BAR locations. Laptops can be checked out for 4 hours once per day. Chromebooks can be checked out for 6 hours at a time and can be renewed once per day depending on availability. 

All Laptops are equipped with Microsoft Office. Chromebooks use cloud based technology allowing access to Microsoft Office through your Office365 account. For full details on borrowing and availability, see the Borrow Laptops & Chromebooks page.

  Accessible Workstations

The library has 8 adjustable workstations at the Fennell campus designated for use by students with disabilities. Please ask library staff at the customer service desk for exact locations.

Jaws and ZoomText can be accessed directly from the desktop. Other accessibility software programs are available through Mohawk's AppsAnywhere tool. To learn more about adaptive technology and the services available at Mohawk College, please visit the Accessible Learning Services page.
