Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free service which the library makes available to students and staff at Mohawk College. Is there an article, book, video, etc. that the library does not have that would help you with Mohawk-related coursework, excluding required texts? We can try to borrow it for you from another library. Read more about Interlibrary Loans.

Alumni borrowers are graduates of Mohawk College certificate, graduate certificate, diploma, collaborative degree and applied degree programs. Alumni account holders can borrow any item from the circulating collection with the exception of materials with a short-term loan period. The maximum number of items on loan at one time is 10. To borrow items from the collection, you must obtain an Alumni ID Card. Cards can be obtained at the following locations:

Community borrowers are residents of the greater Hamilton area who are not affiliated with Mohawk College as a student, alumnus or staff member and who are not enrolled in a private or public educational institution. You can apply for a Community Borrower card at the customer service desk at any library location. Photo ID confirming your home address must be shown. There is a $20 annual fee for the card which is valid for one year from the issue date.
Community borrowers can use all library items except those in the reserve collection. They may borrow items from the circulating collection with the exception of videos, materials with short-term loan periods, magazines and reference items. The maximum number of items on loan at any one time is six.
